My name is Sylvie, Owner and "Chef" of the Living Vine Organic Cafe!

I grew up in Lyon, France, the World Capital of Gastronomy! I first came to the U.S. to do my final 6 months internship at the Milwaukee Country Club, (Milwaukee, WI) a requirement for my European Bachelor of Management in Hospitality and Tourism degree from Vatel Institute, Lyon, France. I rapidly fell in love with the U.S. and also with my now husband of over 20 years!! 

However, my love and attachment to France remains very strong and I am very proud of my roots, the values and lessons my parents and family have taught me for many years!

As I grew a little older (still in my mid-20s), I started developing health issues such as degenerative discs, arthritis and chronic sinusitis. As my doctor wasn't at all giving me a positive futuristic prognostic, I decided to start my own health journey and began looking and researching for alternative and natural remedies to overcome my health issues.  As I started learning, changing my diet and lifestyle as well as implementing a natural and spiritual way of living, I started to heal and feel a great improvement in my health and life. From that moment on, I was determined and convinced that natural health, diet and positive mindset was a key to health. So I continued learning through many seminars and classes offered online. My passion for natural health, healthy food and living kept growing- especially after the birth of our 3 children, so I decided to learn even more and registered to get an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach Certificate from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN), NY a few years ago. 

While I was taking these classes at IIN, I was also working as a Medical Biller. Seeing the outrageous costs of all health issues daily definitely reminded me that being and staying healthy is a small investment compared to the cost associated to any health issues. HEALTH IS WEALTH.

My goal is now to use my knowledge to offer the healthiest drinks and food to our Community.

I believe the food we eat should be homemade, fresh and whole. I am strongly opposed to processed foods as well as refined sugar as they are poisons to our bodies and health.

I also believe in bio-individuality. We are all different and our bodies have different requirements and needs. We all need to listen to our bodies and figure out what is right for us. This is why we offer an option for all types of diets including: Meat, Vegan/Plant Based, Vegetarian and Gluten Free foods.
